George M. Zaytoun, MD, FACS received his MD degree in 1976 from the American University of Beirut (AUB) then completed four years of residency training in Otolaryngology- Head and Neck surgery at the American University of Beirut Medical Center (AUBMC). He completed a fellowship in otology and otopathology at the Massachusetts Eye and Ear Infirmary in Boston, USA prior to joining the Faculty at AUB, in 1982. Dr. George Zaytoun is presently a Professor of Clinical Otolaryngology and Head and Neck surgery (in this rank since 2002) and was recently appointed Deputy Chief of Staff for surgical and procedural services at AUBMC. He is a fellow of the American College of Surgeons, and a member/co-founder of several professional, local, regional and international scientific societies. He serves on the editorial board of several otolaryngology journals. Dr. Zaytoun has given numerous invited lectures and published a large number of scientific articles in refereed journal. He is frequently an invited lecturer in national, regional and international scientific event. He serves on several professional advisory committees. He has received several awards for teaching, clinical care, and original scientific contributions. His field of expertise is in otology/neurotology and in Cochlear Implantation surgery as well as in general otolaryngology.

Gerald Fleischer got his academic education at the Universities of Kiel, Vienna (Austria) and Tübingen. His PhD thesis on comparativ anatomy of the mammalian ear, Kiel Univ. He has completed his Postdoc at the hearing research lab at Univ. of Miami (Florida). He started working at The German Federal Environmental Protection Agency (UBA) in Berlin, in charge of avoiding auditory damage. Later he came to University of Giessen, as Professor at the preclinical section of Medicine. First as part of Anatomy and later the research group became an independent Division. He is an active member of Society of Automotive Engineering (SAE) Task force on impulses in vehicles (mostly airbags) and he has now retired.

Dr. Jacquelynne Corey has earned a national reputation for her expertise in the diagnosis and management of allergies. As director of the ENT Allergy Program, Dr. Corey combines her medical interest in allergic and non allergic rhinitis with her proficiency in sinus, nasal, snoring and voice surgeries. One of her primary interests is voice evaluation and treatment particularly for professional voice issues such as for singers, lawyers, and teachers. Dr. Corey is the medical director of Otolaryngic Allergy. This includes allergy skin testing, and immunotherapy, and the in vitro allergy laboratory, which aids in the diagnosis of common hay fever as well as rare diseases including allergic fungal sinusitis. She also directs the nasal function laboratory, which provides detailed analysis of airflow using various technologies including acoustic rhinometry.

Wendell Yarbrough, MD, MMHC is the Section Chief of Otolaryngology Department of Surgery, Director of the Head & Neck Disease Center at Smilow Cancer Hospital and Co-Director of the Molecular Virology Program in the Yale Cancer Center. Dr. Yarbrough was a Morehead Scholar at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill where he also attended medical school and completed residency and fellowship. He joins Yale from Vanderbilt University where he was the Co-Leader of the Thoracic and Head and Neck Program at the Vanderbilt Ingram Cancer Center, as well as Professor of Otolaryngology and Cancer Biology. Dr. Yarbrough has a longstanding clinical interest in head and neck cancers and research interests in head and neck cancer translational research as well as identification of tumor suppressors and their mechanism of action. Recently, Dr. Yarbrough's lab has focused on identification of molecular defects in subsets of head & neck and salivary cancers to serve as novel targets for therapy. Dr. Yarbrough's lab has expertise in cell and molecular biology and in modeling of tumors for pre-clinical testing. The ultimate goal of Dr. Yarbrough's lab work is to improve outcomes for patients with head & neck and salivary cancers through innovative and rational development of new therapies.

Rodney J Taylor MD, MSPH is an associate professor in the Department of Otorhinolaryngology- Head & Neck Surgery at the University of Maryland of School of Medicine (UMSOM). Dr. Taylor is the Director of General Otorhinolaryngology at UMSOM and the Chief of Otolaryngology at the Veteran’s Administration Medical Center at Baltimore. He joined the faculty of the Department of Otorhinolaryngology in 2001. Dr. Taylor has been recognized by local and national organizations as one of 'America’s Top Otolaryngologist.' Dr. Taylor graduated cum laude from Harvard College in 1991 where he was Senior Class President, Varsity Football player and received the Francis Burr Award for character, leadership, and athletic ability. He then graduated from Harvard Medical School in 1995, receiving his MD, while also serving as Academic advisor and counselor for Harvard College pre-med students. Following medical school, Dr. Taylor spent 6 years at the University of Michigan completing his residency in Otolaryngology- Head & Neck Surgery. While at the University of Michigan, he spent a year developing novel techniques in head and neck cancer surgery, as well as developed and studied Quality of Life instruments among head and neck cancer patients. He obtained his medical degree from the University of Toronto and his doctoral degree from Oxford University as a Canadian Rhodes Scholar. He completed his Royal College training in neurosurgery in Vancouver.He was the President of the Canadian Section of Stereotactic & Functional Neurosurgery for its first seven years. Zhengqing Hu is an Associate Professor in the Department of Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery at Wayne State University School of Medicine. He received his M.D. from Shanghai Medical University, Shanghai, China in 1993. From 1993 to 1999, Dr. Hu had his residency and fellowship training, together with a Ph.D. program focusing on neurotology and hearing research in HuaShan Hospital and EENT Hospital in Shanghai Medical University. Dr Choi mainly care laryngeal diseases and voice disorders, head, neck and thyroid tumours. Especially he is recognized as a leader of ‘laryngology, logopedics, and phoniatrics’ in Korea. He developed the bio vocalization model, the laryngeal transplantation, and the artificial larynx. Also he showed an excellent treatment result from the first Botox injection into the vocal cord for ‘convulsive dysphonia’ in Korea. He was voted as the best doctor in the field of laryngeal disease by Donga Ilbo in 2005. In addition, He was introduced on TV (EBS, in 2007) by the program named ‘Best Doctor (for larynx and the voice disorders)’. Moreover, from 1998 to 2003, He already worked as a consulting otolaryngologist for the Korean president and his family. He worked as a chairman of the Korean Society of Logopedics & Phoniatrics and Phonetic Society of Korea; also he worked as a promotion chairman of 4th World Voice Congress in 2010.These days, he is studying on the artificial larynx development (Project G7) for voice rehabilitation of the larynx extracted people.

I am Mohammed A. Gomaa , professor of Otorhinolaryngology, faculty of Medicine, Minia university, Egypt. I am graduated from Minia University on 1990, spent my residency at Minia university Hospital, I spent all of my career at Minia university till I get the position of Full professor on 2014. I spent a couple of years as a research fellow at The University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center from 1996 to 1998 working on head and neck cancer. I am a member of American Academy of Otorhinolaryngology, Head and Neck surgery since 1999 and now serving on Diversity committee also serving now as a Global Liaison of Otorhinolaryngology Section of American National Medical Association. I published 25 articles and another 10 now under publication, I published many of them at international Journal with impact factors. My h-index is 6 and have my papers cited in 134 articles so far. I present a lot of my work at highly ranked international conferences In USA, Europe, Dubai, and of course Egypt. Professor Mohan Kameswaran, Managing Director & Senior Consultant of Madras ENT Research Foundation, is the Visiting Professor of Rajah Muthiah Medical College Hospital, Annamalai University, Chidambaram and at Sri Ramachandra Medical University, Chennai. He graduated from Madras Medical College. He got his MS from Madras Medical College, Chennai and his Fellowship at the Royal College of Surgeons, Edinburgh. He has received several gold medals in his undergraduate and postgraduate days. He has been a recipient of the ‘PADMA SHRI’ National Award by the Government of India in recognition of his distinguished and exceptional service in the field of Medicine in 2006. He was also awarded the prestigious ‘Indo-Australian Award’ for Meritorious Service by the Indo-Australian Association, and ‘For the sake of Honour Award’ by Rotary club of Madras Esplanade in 2006. He is one of the pioneers of Cochlear Implant Surgery in India and was responsible for starting Cochlear Implant surgery in many cities in India, Sri Lanka & Nepal. He has also conducted several workshops for the benefit of the Post Graduate students in ENT, including advanced techniques in ENT surgery. He also has to his credit a textbook on ‘Tropical Diseases in ENT’. He is a Doctor with a social consciousness & conducts free ENT camps in several parts of rural India. He has mentored ENT surgeons who hold positions of distinction in various parts of the country. Prof. Mohan Kameswaran was elected as an Executive Board Member of the International Federation of Otorhinolaryngological Societies (IFOS), in the recently concluded XIX WORLD CONGRESS OF OTO-RHINO-LARYNGOLOGY held from June 1 to 5, 2009 at São Paulo, Brazil. He is the FIRST Surgeon in South and South East Asia to have performed the AUDITORY BRAIN STEM IMPLANT and the FIRST PAEDIATRIC BRAINSTEM IMPLANT in Asia, January 2009. He is also the FIRST surgeon in Asia Pacific region to have performed the TOTALLY IMPLANTABLE HEARING DEVICE surgery. Along with general ENT Surgical work, he has focused on Cochlear Implants, Laser Surgery, Endoscopic Sinus Surgery and Skull Base Surgery. He is a pioneer in cochlear implant surgery and has the distinction of doing the first Contour Cochlear Implant & Freedom implant in the country. He is the first surgeon in India & South East Asia to have performed the Auditory Brain Stem Implant.

He is also serving as General Secretary of International Guild of Robotic & Endoscopic Head and Neck Surgery and Director of Research Committee, Korean Thyroid Association.
