Biography

Dr. Yoon Woo Koh M.D., Ph. D. is the professor of Otorhinolaryngology and professor of thyroid cancer clinic at Yonsei University College of Medicine Seoul, Korea and Chair, Endoscopic & Robotic Surgery Committee, Korean Society of Thyroid-Head and Neck Surgery. He is also serving as General Secretary of International Guild of Robotic & Endoscopic Head and Neck Surgery and Director of Research Committee, Korean Thyroid Association. He completed his training with a clinical fellowship at Yonsei University College of Medicine in Seoul, Korea. Dr. Yoon Woo Koh is a pioneer in Robotic Retroauricular Neck Dissection for Thyroid and Head & Neck cancer. He has substantial contribution in developing “Minimally invasive Head & Neck surgery and Thyroid surgery with Retroauricular approach” in particular. He has written over 100 original articles, book chapters regarding endoscopic and robotic Thyroid and Head & Neck surgery. He has the largest experience in the world with Robotic Retroauricular Neck Dissection for Thyroid and Head & Neck cancer. His research interests have focused on clinical outcome research related to Thyroid and Head & Neck patients. His laboratory research focus elucidating the mechanism of crosstalk signaling after targeted therapy and Development of Treatment Platform to overcome the Drug resistance in Thyroid and Head & Neck Cancer.
